The way that they look at each other,
My Granddaughter and her Mother.
To witness such a bond,
He's flown the nest at his behest.
Another test to curb my rest.
University does beckon.
You brought yourself to this.
Perhaps by some subconscious force.
Maybe not the destiny you
You reached your first milestone today, with that smile.
Your changing so quickly, stay this small
Prior to confinement, you were only mine.
My precious joy within, a delicate time.
A mixture of
Motherhood defines me,
but often undermines me.
My fears for you are almost tangible.
Oh my goodness can it be true?
Something borrowed, something blue.
Your toes trying a satin
