Read introduction

A snow globe winter world.

A World— Subdued .

A snow-globe world
tastes new, a mantle of white
smells sharp and ice-clean.

A muffled silence— broken
by the crunch of feet on snow
where every step shows.

Snow culls some insects,
it silently chills —then kills
the unwary warm-blooded.

Snow caps the lamp posts,
swags adorn the windowsills,
teazles don white busbies

In a softly keening wind
kaleidoscopic flurries of flakes
pillow in the twilight.

I wish to rise on tip-toe
and dance with the snowflakes
then fall, to scribe angels.
