Andrew M. Harbach

From Dayton, OH

I am an undergraduate chemical engineering student at the University of Dayton in Ohio. I write because writing is nothing. Words on paper. That's what the curious thing about it is though... You write nothing and someone hears something. "One thing that helps is to give myself permission to write badly. I tell myself that I'm going to do my five or 10 pages no matter what, and that I can always tear them up the following morning if I want. I'll have lost nothing - writing and tearing up five pages would leave me no further behind than if I took the day off." (Lawrence Block, WD).

What inspires me?

1.) LOVE! - above all else 2.) Music 3.) Life experience 4.) Eastern philosophy

My best line

"Hollow breaths in the dead of night's qualm, season the dusk: the song of the dawn!"... "Wherein we met, I felt a hand begging I be void of put-ons...inhesion by the standards of anyone in my full-faired company. Though by what principality was I kept to such a whim? Within you I see Castor and Pollux; your possession of dyadic inherence. I see this as I see my own duality. We speak of all that we are to all who inquire and offer ears to listen. Secrecy is illusion. Though because we have more within us than can be told, dinner by dinner, evenings spent and mornings slept through, it takes knowing everything to know the entire people that we are. It is this knowing that makes you beautiful."...
