For in the winter of my life
I knew nothing but wrong
For I was at strife
and my sinning prolonged

A sudden night I sought
relief to my grief
But nothing I found
as I tried to breathe

On one evening I found
a woman in velvet
For her face was so bright
The heat, no I felt it

She laughed like God
Her mind was a diamond
Nothing she flawed
but disappeared in the horizon.

Light of my life, fire of my loins
All of my heart, for we never adjoined.
