Last night’s operatic storm
has trembled a galaxy
of larval stars
from their high, milky-black combs -
littering the lawn like daisies.
Scintillating - still gleaming
with wet starshine after the fall.
And Sun has already touched
the heart of each one
with her warm yellow fingertip -
Earth tethered them safely
on umbilical green wires.
