An award-winning poet and journalist, Gillian has books published with leading UK publishers Bloodaxe and Canongate, including bestselling BABY. Her major online project www.thehumangenome.co.uk, was praised by eminent commentators such as writer and BBC broadcaster Andrew Marr and Head of the US Human Genome Project, Francis Collins. She received a prestigious £25,000 Creative Scotland Award.
