Ghoul Wind

Danpicby Daniel Jones02 Dec 2013

Such audacity
How the ghoul wind blows
Brisk through valleys, over hills
Leaping stream and vaulting bridge
Beyond mountains reach and forest’s depth.

As if there were no difference in each
But a spelling,
But a name.

So the season thumps with
Such direct innocence
A dulled purpose,
The ghost of a slave
Haunting his own chains.
