Lacunae

There are times I miss
During rising and setting
Which contain either nothing
Or something.

While working to wake,
The process often stalls
Leaving Unfillable blanks.

But the complimentary trajectory,
The readying for bed,
Is more productive.

In the busy-ness of forced unwinding,
The Preversity Imp resists,
Throws up sparkling confetti
In my inner face.

Through these gaps
These chinks between waking and sleeping,
Energy squeezes through.

A fine net is needed
To capture these flashes.
