Fix Me

19941540_coverby Jean Aked17 Aug 2014

The money: well it really counts for nothing,
The thousands that have gone along the way;
The toll has been a life so badly ruined:
The reality I wake up to every day.

Consequences are not things I can consider,
I have no time for work or even play;
It’s impossible to think about the future
Midst the struggles of living day to day.

Friends are scarce but that is not a worry
When I spend most of my hours feeling unwell;
Fix me and save me from this nightmare,
This alternating place of heaven and hell.
