Read introduction

Wrote this very quickly as it needed to be out there today. Maybe I'll come back to it, maybe not.
It's for Ian, a poet.

Gone

Someone I only just knew
Decided the poems & paints & love wouldn't do,
And he put a full stop.

To it all.

At the edge of his seep
I have as little idea of WHYS?
As those whose love dug deep.

I search my screen grabs to locate his face.
How I took wet coat to radiator & he sat on my chair with wet hair.
And with forensic eye I press repeat.
But the sound is down on the picture
And I can't see final words.

In my 8:08 state
I think of those who were in his celestial sphere,
Whose shoreline he kissed,
And now his constellation we must draw.
And though I'm just a bit of felt tip at the edge,
I still weep.

And in my 8:08 state
I press repeat.

No one here knows, but morning,
And it takes off its cap & gives the nod,
So off with headphones to hear it applaud,
Arctic Monkey's 'One For The Road' feels flawed.

And in my 8:08 state
I press repeat.
Coat. Radiator. Chair. Wet hair.
Needle to record.
I can't see final words.

Im uncomfortably numb.
To unmist minds orifices I plug back into this big
All there is.
And I need, yes I must,
Birth these words to bring forth something new.
Something in memory of you.
To plaque that you were here.

And in my 8:08 state
I press repeat.

And morning nods in agreement.
Sky rounds it's shoulders to grief,
Houses bow and sigh their sympathy,
Moss softens stark truth.
Ole brass-tailed Foxy at the door yips your name
To the breeze holding trace of scent.
Wet Tyres chorus your ebb and flow,
As bank's black horse rears as your memory passes.
Clock holds up its hands in
I-just-don't-know.

And in my 8:08 state
I press repeat.
Coat. Radiator. Chair. Wet hair.
Needle to record.
I can't see final words.

Tomorrow
You should have sat in my chair with wet hair.

So it's left to road to carry the whys, what ifs & wonder
- - - - - ^^^^____^^^^^- - - - -
I have no more words.
Well just one,
RESPECT.

Key introduces brass to brass
And we all start over again.
