THE SEA

THE SEA

And there I am
standing there, tall and elegant
next to a tree,
holding me shelter
from the burning sun.

My feet feel the ground
its soft broken rock
that's become
sand intime.

I look up and see
a hundred eagles
maybe more or less
flying,
the smell of fish
from boats has reached
the shore.

My hand clasps the
trunk of the tree,
it's wooden grooves
shaped by winds
invisible yet created by you
and all the while
you just move
invincible
turning your waters
of life
into being.
