Joshua Converse

From Monterey, CA

Joshua Converse was born in the San Francisco Bay Area and grew up on a horse farm in Louisiana. He spent 4 years in the U.S. Army and deployed to the Middle East during the war. He holds an MA in English Literature. He lives in Monterey, California with his wife and their children. He has written two books of poetry, "Apophis Over Coffee" and "Accidental Existential," as well as one collection of short stories entitled "Time in the Dark". All are available on Amazon.

What inspires me?

I tend to start writing when a line strikes me- either in conversation or in my own thoughts or while reading. I don't think I can pin down how inspiration comes, exactly, except to say it's capricious and difficult to summon.
