HERALD

A traveller, he traces the unexplored
lands of her body;
her arms roll
like trees and forests, her eyes,
blue as the sky, spread
to infinity;
birds and waterfalls, sun and laughter
flow from her heart
like dreams.

And he is walking with her,
smiling;
she tells him her stories that roll
like legends,
falling like streams,
pouring down
rocks,
to play at his feet.

The air swirls in the valley
where home waits.
She is guiding him there.
He stands on the crest
and gazes at her,
caresses
her shoulder,
touches her arms,
lowers to a kiss,
breathes.
