Read introduction

To my three daughters, whom I love with all my heart.
Yes I know there has always been a part of me that seems closed down. Best not to go there. Not yet anyway.

I remember snuggle-time,
Once so full of bright-eyed smiling funny face,
With no agenda but to share your day with mine,
Over-looking all my faults with all-forgiving grace.
In my mind I still see you bouncing on that thingamyjig,
Around the garden path in summer sun,
Calling to me, laughing at me, as I act the lig.
Gosh looking back, I know we had some fun.
And now, you see perspective, and with different eyes,
My faults and blemishes, I can no longer hide,
Nor find a way to cover in some camouflaged disguise,
My ugly, dysfunctional, Autistic side.
But later, when its over, and you settle down,
And God will, I hope, his plan to you unfurl,
You might remember past this cracked and broken clown,
For to me you are forever Daddy’s girl.
