Under the moon’s heavy gaze, he waits.
Hoping the wind may blow his way,
yet the air is still, the night is silent
- she will not return today, nor leaves hope for the morrow
Still he waits by the ocean’s side. Confused.
Never comprehending its eternal draw and recline.
And he, like the glistening stones, awaits her return,
though the sea, vicious, overthrows
yet he lies there, as Elpis once did,
awaiting the tides alluring embrace
only to slowly recline yet again, and he
