7. A SLICE OF WALES.

A tribute piece, yet questioning the availability of poetry in general en mass.

Welsh Poet.

He was enigma
And would talk in tongues
Foreign to the masses.
They embraced his lust
For language and life.
He painted pictures
Pictures with words –
Deep, thought provoking images
That shook the very fabric
Of academia.
He gnawed at the consciences
Of those who were capable of seeing
Perfection and intrigue
In a sea of ceramic seeds
And gave them renewed focus.
After he moved on
They put up a plaque to honour him –
It read…
“Welsh poet was born here.”
