The view on High street is a plaid invitation
to the forthcoming of days when I shall begin
to live an adamant life.

The trees reach high enough for me to risk
believing in fame and good years intertwined.
The houses are a shuffled row of shadowboxes
so that one may sit quietly or fancy every amusement.

The Blakeberry pharmacy is a blue color
unlike the common red I see. They at least,
do not give death a daunting appeal or
streak it with valor. On a summer afternoon,
someone will breath his last and be placed
into a shadowbox. He becomes one with
the kind of fiction that keeps you alive.
