There are people
who put Aloe plants
They have this settled wisdom that
lets the days go through them
while they sort out the clouds and other angelic beings.
I'm learning how to be silent like that.
While the buffalo voices crumple silver trumpets
I'm simmering in solitude
Waiting as I boil my life down
into edible meaning.
Now I'm mostly a dreamer
This means that, life, reality, gets a little more steeper
The stock market is going down, dollar isn't getting any greener.
But this just means that government talk has grown
Rhetoric doesn't speak yet
Once all the zest I input,
I'll come correct.
